Albert Popkov’s day of reckoning
The preliminary hearing caused by the lawsuit of three British companies, i-CD Publishing, Carlene Investment Ltd. and Passado Ltd. to the creator of social network Odnoklassniki.ru Albert Popkov has recently ended in London’s Supreme Court. By their lawsuit these companies demanded from Albert 4 things:
To give them all his income, to give away his trade mark, domain name and site’s engine.
The British claim that:
1) Popkov once worked as a free lance employee in i-CD. His responsibilities were to develop social network Passado and to prepare its launch in Russia.
2) Popkov had to research Russian social network market and to collect a database of former USSR schools.
3) Popkov was obliged to perform no activity, competitive to the company’s business
Passado’s Russian version came out in beta-version, but it was closed in April, 2006. And now the British think that Odnoklassniki.ru is the same network as Passado. That’s why they demand money from Popkov.

To all charges he answers: “I really worked for i-CD for some years, but I didn’t sign any contracts with Passado or Carlene. During my last year of work in the company I had nothing to do with Passado website development”.
“Gonchaya.com” supports Albert Popkov and says “Whoof!” to all the British raiders.
