The Story about russian bloger Sasha Bragin and how he got to owe money

Blogger Sasha Bragin was convicted and sentenced to pay 2000 rubles fine. The reason was LiveJournal agitation – Bragin campaigned for the election into Ulyanovsk local duma.

It turns out that candidate for deputy Bragin should have paid for LiveJournal campaign from his own fighting fund. However he didn’t do it as he wrote and published all the materials by himself. The court rendered a decision that Bragin should have awarded blogger Bragin for his work. But the two Bragins couldn’t sort out, who is who. As a result, they violated the law.

Outcome:
1) The blog is now brought to the level of mass-media (This case and the judicial sentence have become precedents)
2) LiveJournal ratted Bragin out.
